Pelion-Birds-Book-Cover-WhiteBirds Of Pelion Book

Pelion, home not only of the mythical Centaurs and Jason of Argonaut fame, but also to a thriving population of birds.

Some are all-round residents and others pass through on their migration.

“The following pages will hopefully whet the appetite and encourage bird watching in this beautiful but little known part of Greece.”
Barbara Martin

This book is simply a by-product of many very happy hours spent bird watching in Pelion. It is a comparatively new area for monitoring birds, but gradually its fame is spreading as a good place to be, especially during migration.

“Since 1995 I have discovered 120 ‘new’ species to add to the list which now stands at over 225.”
Barbara Martin

Although Pelion is a comparatively new area for monitoring birds, during migration it will not disappoint both the experienced and the novice bird watcher.
